From Darkness to Light: A Journey of Self-Discovery

Diwali, the festival of lights, reminds us to move from darkness into light. Darkness doesn’t mean we’re on the wrong path; it simply symbolizes the things we haven’t yet discovered.

Just as we start our lives in the safe darkness of the womb, our birth into the light marks the beginning of our journey to know ourselves and our purpose.

Throughout life, every moment of learning and growth takes us closer to clarity. Moving from darkness to light is our path to becoming our truest selves.

Every moment nudges us toward LIGHT—our AWARENESS, CONSCIOUSNESS. We need to keep following that LIGHT and evolving with every insight. Remaining in DARKNESS for too long can be detrimental, preventing us from living the life we are meant for.

*Here’s how to move from DARKNESS (IGNORANCE) to the Kingdom of LIGHT (AWARENESS, CONSCIOUSNESS)*:

  1. Align with your true self and let go of what doesn’t resonate.
  2. Seek clarity about your Purpose, Vision, and Goals.
  3. Carry your Purpose every day and live it to lead a fulfilling life.
  4. Pursue your Vision and Goals for yourself, not to prove your worth to others—you’re already Worth it!
  5. Do things out of love, not out of a need for recognition or to impress those around you. True fulfillment comes from genuine actions, not from seeking attention or approval.
  6. Your Intent is everything—aim to add value or make a meaningful impact.
  7. Embrace mistakes and failures, learn from them, and grow.
  8. Decode your fears, shame, guilt, and anger—reclaim control over them!
  9. Embrace love, patience, and faith as you move forward.
  10. Recognize that everyone and everything around you is ENERGY; connect with your energy and align with the world.
  11. Express yourself, Drop any false fronts, stand up for yourself, and healthily share your emotions.
  12. Stop brooding over the past, stop spreading false stories based on your perceptions, stop lamenting about how your past ruined your present and future, and stop blaming the world for your problems. Your false stories create differences, break relationships, and, most importantly, take you away from your core self.
  13. Love changes everything—start by loving yourself!
  14. Reflect on your toxic thoughts and emotions before blaming others for theirs.
  15. If something isn’t working—whether a relationship or a job— take a break and return to it after working on yourself.
  16. Avoid idle gossip; you are meant for a higher purpose—use your time and energy wisely.
  17. If someone’s behavior bothers you, talk to them, resolve the issue, and allow time to heal.
  18. Release your expectations of others. Expecting is often tied to low self-esteem, ego, or arrogance. Reflect on these needs and let them go.
  19. Stop saying, “I am busy” or “I don’t have time!” We all have 24 hours—prioritization is key. Re-juggle, prioritize, and re-prioritize as needed—this is life!
  20. You are on this planet for a PURPOSE—find it, live it, and leave a legacy of it, even after you’re gone.

As we celebrate Diwali, let us remember that we are all walking on the journey from darkness to light.

This Diwali, commit to shedding what no longer serves you, embracing growth, and illuminating your path forward.

Simplify your life, reflect deeply, and remember—every step from darkness into light is a step closer to becoming the person you were meant to be. Happy Diwali from my heart to yours!
