Environmental Wellness: It Begins with YOU!

The nature vs. nurture debate is the cultural and psychological debate about whether human culture, behavior, and personality are caused primarily by nature or nurture.

Nature is often defined as hormone-based behaviors and traits, while nurture is most commonly defined as environment, culture, and experience. This post, however, is not about the Nature vs Nurture debate but about how we need to protect our Environment. We need to make our Environment a product of us and not the other way round (remember what Jack Nicholson had said in his film – The Departed!?).

Being a Wellpreneur and the Brand Ambassador of Ctrl Z Factor of Wellness, I am only going to talk about how we need to delete all things that do not align with us and our environment. Environmental Wellness is an integral dimension of Wellness, and it should be given the importance it deserves.

Environmental Wellness is adopting a minimalistic lifestyle, eliminating toxic people from our life to reduce stress, eat food that aligns with your body, increase focus, and improve productivity.

Here are a few techniques or strategies you could adopt for making YOUR ENVIRONMENT a PRODUCT of YOU!

  1. Declutter your mind
  2. Identify your body type
  3. Eat food that aligns with your body
  4. Stay away from Toxic people
  5. Declutter your Home and Office
  6. Don’t let someone else’s emotions and vibrations impact you
  7. Recycle & Recompose
  8. Plant & tend a garden

You need to remember that Environmental Wellness starts with you – it is your life, your home, your environment, and you need to protect it! Do not let someone else take control of your life, mind, home, or office. And, if you let someone else take charge of your Environment then do not blame them for what happens to you – because you let them in!

Taking charge of your life is the first step towards leading a healthy and sustainable life! So, understand what matters to you, protect it, nurture it and develop it the way you want to. By embracing changes within you, you will also be able to bring about a change in the society! Take one step at a time and you will get there!

I would like to end this post with a quote:

“Each one of us matters, has a role to play, and makes a difference. Each one of us must take responsibility for our own lives, and above all, show respect and love for living things around us, especially each other.” – Jane Goodall
