Employee Experience & Wellness
8 D’s of Wellness

#EmployeeExperience and #EmployeeWellbeing go hand-in-hand. It is heartening to see the efforts taken by many organizations towards Employee Wellness. I am happy to see that Wellness has indeed become an integral part of their Employee Engagement or Experience strategy.

As the pandemic eases out, many companies are planning a new combination of remote and on-site working, a hybrid virtual model in which some employees are on premises, while others work from home (many have already adopted this model). Companies must rethink their strategies around organizing Wellness initiatives for this hybrid model. While they are at it, HR also needs to ensure that they do not make Wellness a checklist approach.

Here are 5 strategies that HR could adopt to avoid falling prey to the checklist approach:

  1. Have a deeper understanding of Wellness and all the 8 Dimensions of Wellness
  2. Ensure that you genuinely care about the well-being of your employees and encourage them to practice and live by the 8 Dimensions of Wellness.
  3. Know your people inside-out and have customized Health & Wellness programs based on the demographics.
  4. Identify metrics to measure success of your Wellness programs.
  5. Create your own Wellness Committee and a Wellness Champion who would co-partner with you on driving your Health & Wellness initiatives.

Adopt these strategies for creating an Employee-centric Wellness program. If you have any questions or need help in creating your Annual Wellness programs do reach out to me on akshaym@samakshwellness.com or +91-97698 69902.
