7 Strategies for Transforming Your Mindset

Whether you think you can, or you think you cannot – you’re right ~ Henry Ford

Sir Henry Ford was so right when he said this. We are what we think because our thoughts create our reality. Our mindset is everything – it can either make or break us! The choice really lies with us.

Mindset is a set of Beliefs, Habits, Values and Attitude we have about ourselves and others. We have been living in our comfort zone for way too long and this is stopping us from reaching our full potential. We want to take the leap of faith and make a perfect landing – but we don’t know when we should take the leap of faith.

We need to decode all the Limiting Beliefs, Habits and Fears that have been holding us back in life and create some concrete steps to Reclaim our Power by Transforming our Mindset.

Changes won’t happen overnight but if you are persistent and have a desire to bring about a change from within you can Transform your Mindset and achieve more in life.

Here are 7 Strategies to help you Transform Your Mindset

# 1 Identify and Rescript your Beliefs – your limiting beliefs have been holding you back in life. We absorb most of these fears and limiting beliefs in our mother’s womb and as we grow, our life experiences determine our beliefs in life. By the age of 7 most of our patterns, limiting beliefs and disempowering habits are formed. It is essential to identify these limiting beliefs and rescript our life patterns.

# 2 Redefine Failure – there is a lot of shame associated with failure. We just don’t want to accept failures in life. It is time to wake up and redefine failure. Failure is an integral part of our life, and we need to start looking at it differently and use it to our advantage.

# 3 Embrace your Fears – being fearless does not mean you have no fears, it just means that you have accepted your fears and they no longer hold you back in life. Embrace your fears, they have a message for you, decode that message and transform your life.

# 4 Adopt Empowering Habits – our disempowering habits enslave us. Overthinking, Procrastination, Self-criticism, Inability to say NO, People pleasing are some examples of disempowering habits. Become aware of how these habits have been holding you back in life. As you become aware of these, you will gradually move away and start developing Empowering habits.

# 5 Figure out What You Want from Life – we need to take charge of our life. We all feel lost at times in life, its essential to connect the dots and determine what we want from life. It is your life, and you are the captain of your ship. So, get up and take charge. As Tony Robbin says, Life doesn’t happen to you, it HAPPENS FOR YOU! Everything we go through, enables us to evolve and grow. Make the most of it.

# 6 Start Validating Yourself – when was the last time you validated yourself? How often do you validate yourself? Self-validation is one of the most powerful tool we possess as humans. But most of us don’t use it because we have been asked to invalidate ourselves from our childhood. Stop seeking external validation and learn to express yourself in a healthy way through self-validation. Just Be Who You Are, and the rest shall fall into place.

# 7 Take the Leap of Faith – the last step would be to move out of your comfort zone, create action steps and take the leap of faith. Remember, beyond fear lies victory! The entire world has been waiting for you, so, get up and take charge!

I would like to end my article with a lovely quote by Federico Navarrete, Timeless Stories of El Salvador: The Beginning

“The only person who can transform your life is the one you see every day in the mirror. Be you — the one who shapes your own destiny.”

So, remember who you are, accept yourself and focus on Transforming your mindset.
